RAW FLESH

BY RICARDO GONÇALVES

I'm not psycho, I just like psychotic things.

My work begins where the body and the mind stop pretending to be separate.

I photograph flesh as a reflection of thought, the visible echo of something internal, fractured, and unresolved.

Through controlled chaos, I explore what happens when identity collapses into instinct.

The images are not about beauty or provocation, they are about exposure, the kind that leaves no distance between the subject and the observer.

Each series is an act of confrontation: between sanity and impulse, between the observer and their own discomfort.

I’m not interested in perfection. I’m interested in truth, the kind that bleeds, trembles, and still dares to exist.

My work is conceptual, raw, and psychological.

It is about the human condition stripped of performance, ideology, and pretense.

It’s not erotic, it’s an emotional autopsy.
